The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts announced that Eyepoint Inc, headquartered at the Riverworks building, has agreed to pay roughly $4.67 million to resolve allegations that it had paid kickbacks to ambulatory surgery centers to purchase its drug DEXYCU, which the government alleges violated the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act. Pre-Clinical and Clinical Trial News
Diagonal Therapeutics (Arsenal Yards) announced the dosing of the first patient in their Phase 1/2 DIAMOND clinical trial of their lead compound DIAG723 for patients with Hereditary hemorrhagic Telangiectaia (HHT). HHT is a rare blood disorder characterized by abnormal blood vessels that easily bleed, leading to chronic anemia, as well as the formation of abnormal vasculature in the lungs and liver that can cause life threatening complications if they rupture. Diagonal’s Arsenal Street neighbor Tectonic Therapeutic launched a Phase 1 Trial for their HHT therapeutic TX2100 in Q1 of this year.
Ampersand Biosciences (99 Coolidge Ave) announced a target discovery collaboration with Eli Lilly’s Tunelab.
